13. Has the site been decontaminated?
According to a recent report from the federal government, the site has been completely decontaminated following cleanup efforts undertaken over the past decade. These actions include removal of soils contaminated with heavy metals and petrochemicals as well as encapsulation of lead-painted surfaces on the buildings. Air testing for mercury from 1998 to 2010 found mercury levels to be below dangerous levels or non-detectable, and pre-sale testing in October 2016 did not detect any mercury at or above the threshold of detection.
